John Wayne Cancer Foundation
is partnering with KB4C for 2008 in a huge way! In addition to event support, they are providing athletes with Team Duke packets, sunscreen, and quick-dry Asics water jersies for the 6-hour Kite Derby Endurance Race. JWCF embraces the passion and energy in the kiteboarding community and action sports in general to do something good in the world... and we like that!
Athlete participation options
Sign up as a Fundraising Athlete
Those who sign up as a Fundraising Athlete help raise money for the cause, which is the purpose of this event. Other eligibilities:
• No event registration fee to participate.
• Must raise a minimum of $100 in donations.
• Eligible for both the Kite Derby Endurance Race and the Long Jump event.
• Eligible for over $20,000 in prizes
To register as a fundraising athlete, go to KB4C's fundraising page on Active.com and click "Become a fundraiser"
Sign up as an Athlete-only
Athlete-only participants who want to only participate in the Kite Derby Endurance Race.
Athlete-only eligibilties:
• Registration fee of $75
• No fundraising required to participate.
• Eligible only for the Kite Derby Endurance Race.
• Eligible for Kite Derby Endurance Race prizes ($7500 in prizes)
To register as an athlete-only, go to KB4C's Registration page on Active.com and click on "Register NOW"
