This year is the first for the KB4C Healing Art Show -- a display of heart-felt passion, nature, and healing all wrapped into beautiful works of art displayed at various venues in Hood River.
Art has played a prominent role in the Kiteboarding 4 Cancer event since our first event in 2007. It's quite fitting in that many artists and photographers find inspiration in the powerful visual of the event: Multi-colored kites soaring, contrasting Gorge cliffs diving into the Columbia River, and the surrounding Cascade peaks hovering in the background.

July 9-11, 2010
The 2010 KB4C and SUP4C are set for July 9-11, so put it on the calendar!Here's what's in store for 2010:
Our 2nd Annual SUP series will kick off on Sunday, July 11 with the 8-mile SUP Endurance race followed by the Full Contact SUP Contest, and finishing with the 4x4 SUP Relay.
The kiteboarding endurance derby will start as soon as the wind allows (usually 10am), and go 6 hours or until 4pm if the wind starts late. Start training now!
Athletes for both SUP and Kiteboarding events will receive a swag pack of sponsor goods, lunch on race day, and pre-race dinner on Friday night. Register here.
With the mission of raising funds and awareness for regional cancer programs, KB4C and SUP4C welcome athletes, survivors, friends, families, and the community to be a part of this special weekend.

Kiteboarding 4 Cancer is in the planning phase of hosting our own Survivorship camps for young adult (ages 18-40) cancer survivors. These camps aim to foster self-confidence and strengthen survivorship through kiteboarding, standup paddling, and other outdoor adventure skills.

This year's KB4C will again take place at the Hood River Event Site, with dozens of added activities this year!! In addition to the athlete kiteboarding events, The Kite Derby Endurance Race and Slider for Cancer, we will have audience participation events including the Team Contact Standup Paddle Race, the Wetsuit Contest, and much more. There will also be live music all day, cold beverages and great BBQ, the KB4C Auctions, Raffle and activiites for the kids!
