Since 2007, we have participated in KB4C motivated by the fight that family members and friends have been having with cancer. We ride for them and this year the focus has broadened.
Through CHAP, we have seen the optimism and rare courage demonstrated by children suffering with cancer. Anyone visiting CHAP in Portland, or at KB4C knows that they offer a unique and powerful outlet for these kids. We will be riding as part of a relay team this year and we are honored to have as our team captain, Derek Seals. In 2007 Derek started chemo for stage IV germ cell tumors. He was 5-1/2 years old and continues to fight today. Derek will be in Hood River for the event to lead us on!
