We need Volunteer Leads and General Volunteers

Volunteers make Kiteboard 4 Cancer happen.

We are seeking committee leads and general volunteers to help us out before and during the event weekend. If you are reliable and want to help make an impact in our community, we’d love to have you as a volunteer!

Areas of greatest need:

Event & Volunteer Logistics: Volunteer Coordinator

Volunteer Check-in assistant
Setup & Tear-down (must be able-bodied for moving things)
In-town runners (must know Hood River)

Race Logistics: Safety Coordinator

Beach safety (kite launchers & landers)
Race setup (boat assistance & buoy management)
Information / data runners
On-call First Aid

Registration: Registration Coordinator

Event greeters
Registration staff (must be patient & personable)
Merchandise sales (must be good with numbers & organizing)

Kids Art Tent: Art Coordinator

Artists & art helpers

Food & Beverage / Athletes Lounge: Athlete Lounge Lead, Athlete Dinner Lead

Adult beverage pourers (must be 21+, reliable)
Athlete Dinner & Lunch staff (Friday)
General Athletes Lounge staff
Cookie Mamas (bake, make or provision athlete fuel for the Athletes Lounge for 7/11)

Auctions: Auction Lead, Awards Lead

Boards of Hope artists
Silent Auction staff
Live Auction presenters and staff
